LEDhut are the UK’s premier LED lighting solutions retailer, supplying LED products to thousands of different business and individuals each year. Already firmly established online since 2011, the company were keen to improve their existing organic traffic and rankings. Along with outreach and digital PR efforts, we also conducted a comprehensive technical audit of the site.
As with all large-scale technical audits, we began with a full site crawl using DeepCrawl. Although the site was in pretty good shape from a technical SEO point of view, we did manage to identify several improvements that could be implemented including content changes as well as title and meta tweaks, plus removing some duplicate copy. All proposed changes were uploaded to Basecamp and then duly implemented in the following few weeks.
Once all the changes had been implemented, the site started to recover the visibility that had been lost due to an algorithmic update. Improving the content quality, relevance and title/meta data on some key category pages helped the site to regain the competitive rankings that had dropped after the update.
